Windsor, England. Picture 2006.
In Windsor

It was Windsor Castle the reason why we went to Windsor. It is a very good reason in a trip to London to allocate half a day, or a full day, or for that matter more time if possible to this nearby location. To some people Windsor Castle do not take much time to see, might as well just see it from the outside or run right thru. To other people like us half a day was simply not enough. We did not even go into the Queen's Doll Collection but we went in St. George Chapel and right there we could have spent another full day at least.

What we did not realize before setting on this excursion was that Windsor is an extremely popular tourist site, and has been so for quite a long time as everything in Windsor. The hotels, restaurants and stores, very many of them for the tourist trade as well as for the every day needs, apparently have been there for a long time and complement rather than overcast the surroundings.
